Postby finnv3 on Sun Jul 19, 2009 4:38 pm

Ok as most of u know i have a 1994 chevy s10 4.3 4wd. I want to make it faster, i keep hearing headers headers headers but im not wanting to spend 600 on some headers. I think wat im trying to say is i need help. the only thing i have done to it now is exhaust. Im looking for cheap ways to get good power if thats possible. If anyone knows anything i can do pls help.

Remove all restrictions. I think we talked on facebook a while back about it. Port it all, remove all bends or anything that restricts or keeps air from flowing in as straight of a line as possible.
If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough.

buy a throttle body spacer you can pick them up on ebay for about 30 bucks and they will increase power and throttle response by a noticable amount get a cold air intake which not only pulls colder air but also removes the restrictive air tube and box and it would help to get a set of headers you can pick those up off ebay for 2-300 i'd also say to install a power modle but those run anywhere from 2-500 bucks depending upon the stage. you could do a cam swap as well but with it being a 4wd you'll want to make sure it's a cam that creates low end torque not mid range or you'd just be wasting a good 4wd truck, the first three would be my first upgrades b/c they increase power and mpg's
